Fiona Fine still grieves for her murdered fiancé, but knows it is time to move on with her life. It’s been a year and she not only misses the companionship, she really misses the sex. She’s not looking for a new relationship, just a one night stand to get her back in the game. And when she meets sexy Johnny Bulluci at Sam and Carmen’s wedding, Fiona is more than willing to give him a try.

Unfortunately Siren and Intelligal, the ubervillains du jour, crash the wedding and interrupt Fiona just as she was starting to have fun. Then her secret hero persona – Fiera – is needed to stop the dastardly duo from causing too much trouble. She just hopes to get a second chance with Johnny.

Unbeknownst to Fiona, Johnny has his own secret identity, and a very strong vendetta against Siren and her geeky sidekick. They are responsible for his father’s death and, he doesn’t want them captured, he wants them dead. Johnny manages to show up every time Fiona and other members of the Fearless Five do and rather than helping them, he gets in their way while they do their best to prevent him from killing anyone.

Fiera and Johnny are going to have to find a way to work together if they are going to stop the evil duo from taking over the city. And when they uncover each other’s identities they’ll need to decide if true love is worth the risk.

This second installment in the Bigtime superhero series proves the first book was no fluke. Hot Mama is fun, fast paced and first-rate. This author has a super power of her own and I hope she has no plans to end this superior series any time soon. Fans can look forward to Bella Bulluci’s tale next in Jinx.
