Healer Allie Monroe struggles to save humans from the evil that feeds on them, but she can only do so much on her own. Nightly she prays for a warrior to guard her back while she heals. When Royce appears one night and helps her fight off demons she feels as if her prayers have been answered. The time traveling warrior knows she canít stay with him in his time period, so he takes her to his future self for protection. Allie falls in love with Royce, and when he dies in front of her she is determined to do everything in her power and beyond to save him.

When Allie arrives in the past she finds a completely different man in front of her, one incapable of love and someone definitely not amused by her feminist ideas. But Allie canít give up on him and works side by side with him to defeat the evil that is completely bent on destroying them both.

Both Allie and Royce are strong characters, willing to fight for what they want. Though Royce has vowed never to love again, Allie is determined to save him, both from death and from the past. And while Royce think heís incapable of love, that doesnít keep him from lusting after Allie, at least when heís not more inclined to strangle her for her impertinent behavior and stubbornness.

Though Dark Seduction was slower moving and confusing at times while the author took the time to set up the series, the second installment Dark Rival starts off fast and never lets up. I highly recommend reading the books in order though since there are a slew of secondary characters whose stories are interconnected and best read in order.
