Summer Barton was having a bad day; well, the last five years have been bad for her. She is trying to support herself and her two sisters after their mother walked out on them. But she was not making it - she was behind on bills, couldn’t pay the rent, and the car was pretty much falling apart. Her youngest sister, Raven, likes fairy tales and believes in happily ever after, prince charming and fairy godmothers.
Alex McAllister is a very wealthy man and handsome to boot. But his grandmother who has raised him since he was 12 has forced his hand. He has to get married and only has one month to do it. In an accident that turned well to his advantage (or so he thought), he met Summer Barton and her two sisters, Amber and Raven. He offered her marriage after only knowing her for less than ten minutes.
Can this marriage of convenience turn into love and happily ever after? Well, if Amber, Raven and Mrs. McAllister have a say, it will. They will do anything to get the two of them to spend more time together. Although Raven believes in happily ever after, just like in the fairy tales, there are obstacles in the way and must be overcome; for Alex, his problem involves money issues and not listening fully.
Natasha Usher gives us a look at a modern day Cinderella, with the evil boss to boot. I picked the book up and did not want to put it down. It is a very fast and delightful read. All the characters seem to be someone you can relate too, even Raven and Amber. I liked at the end of the story that Ms. Usher told us what has happened to all the characters in the following years, I would like to see this happened more.
