Missing kicks off a new trilogy by Jasmine Cresswell. Take a man, Ron Raven, who has two wives and three children, with two of the children only a few months apart. Neither wife knew of the other one, one in Chicago and one in Wyoming. Now the husband has been murdered and a missing three million dollars is coming to be called in by Adam Fairfax, from the Bank of Fairfax in Fairfax, Georgia.

Iím sure youíre asking what the significance is between the three million dollars and Adam Fairfax and the bank. Adam is the younger brother of Avery, Ronís wife in Chicago and the one that seems to not be legitimate. Adam is not at all happy to have been conned by his brother-in-law and even more disgusted by the fact that Ron is a bigamist.

Megan who is Ronís daughter in Thatch, Wyoming will stop at nothing to get Adam Fairfax to stop the foreclosure on the ranch, the only home her mother has ever known. Megan decides to take things into her own hands after discussing with Liam her brother the chances of the outcome of a face to face meeting with Adam.

Sparks fly from the moment Megan and Adam meet, and not all of the good kind either. Megan is hoping to act like an adult and keep her emotions from taking over. But it probably wonít help since her emotions are there for everyone too see from crying to utter joy. They strike an unlikely bargain between the two of them to try to find out who murdered Ron and to find the missing money.

Missing is more about the money and Ron Raven being murdered. The emotions and the beliefs of what one grew up with are suddenly not what they seem. Both families have to find how to get on with their lives. For Megan and Adam it means being with each other as they tract down the reason for her fatherís murder. There are many secrets and half truths that lead both Megan and Adam down a road that has more bumps and curves along the way, with deceit and distrust as companions.

Ms. Cresswell has certainly started out the trilogy with a bang. Iím wondering what else lies ahead for the Ravenís and Fairfaxís. Just how far are the lies of Ron Raven and just where will it lead next? Suspect is the next story and it features Liam, Ronís only son.
