The story is very aptly named. Timeless Deception is a time travel from present day to the past, I mean 1813 past, in fact to England on the outskirts of London. One Miss Alaina Sawyer is taken to the past. Why you ask?

Because a very spiteful, mean-spirited woman wants to leave her husband for another and he will not let her. Not only what she has done to her husband but to her son as well. So what does she do but find someone to help her and her boyfriend switch places with another couple in a different time. This is how Alaina woke up in a different bed not knowing what had happened, except for a few times where she blacked out and was able to see herself, but not herself in a different time period.

Alaina is attracted to Richard, the Earl of Saybrooke, her husband, but he does not trust her at all. He has seen how cruel she can be to her own son. But Alicia is a different person. She is kind, considerate, loving always wanting to help and beautiful, the spitting image of the person she switched with except her personality.

Timeless Deception is about being able to judge someone for their actions today and not past mistakes, a love that is being built from sparks that are between the hero and heroine, even though the hero does not want to feel anything towards the heroine. There is a passion in what Alicia believes is right or wrong and she is vocal in her opinions, even helping out others in need.

Ms. Knight was able to draw me into the story make me feel like I was right there along with the hero and heroine. I was able to feel their pain, mistrust, joy and a love that spanned over two centuries.
