The Beautiful Stranger is the third book in Julia Londonís 'The Rogues of Regent Street' series. This is the story of Arthur Christian, untitled son of the Duke of Sutherland.
Arthur will never forget the tragic and senseless death of his friend and fellow Rogue, Phillip Rothembow. In an attempt to clear his late friendís name from scandal, Arthur travels to Scotland, where he meets the widowed and beautiful Kerry McKinnon.
Kerry cannot believe that this beautiful stranger has come to Scotland to seize her home and land and leave her to a terrible fate. Kerryís late husband had somehow managed to sell everything, the land, house, and cattle to Mr. Christianís friend Mr. Rothembow, and now he is here to clear all of his friends debts by evicting her and selling off her heritage.
Yet, from the moment they set eyes on each other, something powerful ignites between them. Theirs is a passion that becomes reckless and scandalous and hard to resist. But a shocking crime will force Kerry to turn to Arthur and flee to England and possible ruin.
Can this determined woman convince a seasoned Rogue that love will indeed conquer all? Or will the wall surrounding Arthurís heart be too much for her to tear down?
This was a wonderful story of scandal and mystery. Never slow paced and always sensual. Arthur and Kerry are perfect for each other. He brings out the best in Kerry, and she brings out the passionately sensitive man that Arthur really is.
A wonderful addition to your historical collection. Be sure to read the first two Rogues of Regent Street stories, The Dangerous Gentleman and The Ruthless Charmer, you wonít be sorry you did.
