Lauren Crow has been enjoying her trip to New Orleans with her two close friends, Heidi and Deanna. Heidi is getting married and the three friends want to partake in the food, drink and fun that is part of the "Big Easy". A trip to a fortune-teller is a bit unsettling when the woman predicts Lauren's grisly demise and then local women start disappearing and later are found headless.

Lauren is even more uneasy when she believes she is being stalked by a handsome stranger. The man finally comes forward and introduces himself as Mark Davidson. He, too, warns Lauren that she is in great danger because she is the spitting image of his fiancee, who he claims was murdered by Stefan, a vampire. Is Mark crazy and obsessed or do vampires really exist in New Orleans?

Lauren is a woman who is loyal to her friends. She is highly intelligent, but has a passionate nature. Mark's character is slowly revealed and that makes him all the more intriguing as a hero. The secondary characters are vividly drawn and enrich the plot. The locale of New Orleans with its voodoo background and seedy underbelly is just perfect to set the tone for this tantalizing tale. Ms. Graham weaves the highly popular paranormal genre with romance as sultry as a New Orleans summer night.

Blood Red is a red hot read that is perfect for a day at the beach or a quiet summer evening. Ms. Graham continues to write novels that entertain romance readers.
