One of the most beautiful women in society, Regina Ashton possesses an infamous temper. And no one sparks that temper like Nicholas Eden, who kidnaps her by mistake, thinking her to be his mistress. Regina is determined to put the event behind her, but etiquette dictates that he marry her, or else he face her uncles, the Malory family.

Hardened by a secret from his past, golden haired Nicholas had said he would remain a bachelor, until his foul luck brought him the sensuous Regina. The two soon discovers that they are more than compatible in passion.

Though Regina`s uncles hate the man who is her husband, they have nothing to say when Nicholas deserts her at his country estate. And unbeknownst to him, she bears his child alone.

I can`t say too much more about this book without giving away a key to the plot, but I have to say that I enjoyed this book. The fiery spirit of Regina, Reggie to her uncles, inspired me in a way few have. And as for Nicholas, I merely sighed and said a prayer of thanks that he`s not a real character. The world is not ready for the likes of his roguish ways!

Love Only Once is a very enjoyable read, and part of the famed Malory series by Lindsey and a key to introducing many of the cousins and distant relatives of the clan.
