Colin Ames-Beaumont is devastatingly beautiful and deadly. As a vampire, he has kept himself apart, isolated from the rest of the vampire community due to his one flaw - tainted demon blood. But his one flaw is his greatest strength, making him a natural leader of the vampire community…if only he would embrace it. There is another reason Colin chooses his own company - he has been cursed never to see his own reflection in a mirror. Instead he is tormented by terrifying glimpses of Chaos, a realm where demons and all the things that go bump in the night are banished too. With a breach in Chaos and a rogue demon on the loose pretending to be Colin, he must turn to Savi Murray for help.
The only problem is Savi has tasted the ecstasy Colin can give. That one taste took her to Heaven - and Hell. Still, as a curious human who’s insatiable curiosity has gotten her into trouble before, she cannot stay away from the magnetic Colin. As the passion rises between them, so does the danger. In the midst of trouble, can Savi and Colin form a bond that will last a lifetime?
Demon Moon is the second full length novel in The Guardians series. As a paranormal romance it has all the elements you expect to find in this kind of book - passion, romance, witty dialogue (some of Colin’s sarcasm is hilarious!), a big bad evil and engaging characters. However, this reviewer felt something was missing. All the elements were there, it is a great story, I just did not engage with Colin and Savi as well as a reader should. Many parts of the book were wordy, slowing the pace of the book.
Despite this, Demon Moon is a great world builder- you get to see into the world of Chaos, and explore the vampire community. If you like the paranormal romance genre, you are sure to find yourself intrigued by world created by MelJean Brook in Demon Moon.
