Chloe has led a charmed life as the Muse of Happiness on Mount Olympus. Zeus decides she has not done the job she is truly capable of, so he is sending her to live with mortals for a year to redeem herself. Not wanting to spend eternity doing dreadful jobs on Mount Olympus, Chloe throws herself into proving her worth. What better job to bring happiness to others than being a wedding planner?
Chloe loves working with Miss Belle in Chicago and has done a great job in pulling off some fabulous weddings that could have become disasters. Miss Belle's grandson is nervous about Chloe's intentions after he returns from a foreign stint with Doctors Without Borders. Dr. Matt Castleberry is trying to untangle himself from a cloying, failed relationship, so he is not ready for a new romance, but there is something irresistible about the curvaceous Chloe.
Ms. McCoy has written another charming tale with the perfect mix of warm whimsy and potent passion. Her characters are captivating and fully fleshed out with clever dialog and narrative. It is refreshing to have a protagonist such as Chloe who proclaims herself to be full-figured instead of a size two heroine. I have been a big fan of McCoy's for quite some time. She knows how to work sizzling romance into stories that look at universal truths that resonate with us all. I know you will want to read this book that is pure entertaining fun and then go back to check out Ms. McCoy's back list.
