White Heat is the latest in Cherry Adair’s T-FLAC series and oh, man is it worth the wait!

A year ago, counterterrorist operative Max Aries used artist Emily Greene to gain access to a suspect and after spending the next couple of days and nights together, he up and leaves on yet another mission. A year later, he’s been summoned by Emily to Italy to attend the funeral of his father and her mentor, Daniel Aries. However, due to his being on a mission, he doesn’t receive Emily’s messages until several weeks after Daniel’s funeral. Arriving at Emily’s house in the middle of the night, he’s just in time to thwart an attempt on Emily’s life!

Emily is thrilled to see Max……until she remembers that he missed his father’s funeral. As the two of them start talking, Max realized that something isn’t right about the break-in at Emily’s and his father’s death. Now he just has to prove it, while trying to keep Emily alive. Someone wants her dead and it’s up to Max to figure out who and why someone would want an artist/restorer dead!

White Heat is a globe-hopping roller-coaster ride of adventure and excitement that is not to be missed! Emily turns out to be a very strong woman, which only adds to her appeal and Max is so protective of her, while having that “tough guy” persona, it was a joy to read about them! From Florence to Spain to Denver to Montana to Rome, these two lovers discover much about themselves and each other. I can’t wait to see who the next T-FLAC agent will find his other half!
