Lois Greiman gives us another Christina McMullen and Jack Rivera story. This is the third book in the series and another one comes out in the fall. This one is called Unscrewed and in so many ways the title fits it perfectly.

The story starts out with Chrissy getting ready on a date for none other than Jack. It seems that the hot and heavy action that was taking place in the kitchen came to an abrupt end, with the sound of Like A Virgin from his cell.

Jack is accused of murdering his ex-fiancť and his now fatherís fiancť, Salina. He is found knocked out with Salina dead not far from him. He doesnít remember anything and it seems that his angry attitude keeps getting him in trouble. Letís not even go too far into the dislike he has for his father.

Chrissy is once again not sure of what she feels about Jack, and is he innocent or guilty? Chrissy canít make up her mind, but she knows she will not get involved. Well, at least she wasnít for long. She tries, really she does, as it seems that when she has been helping or involved before someone tries to kill her. But will it happen again?

Chrissy is learning more about Jack and the Riveraís family and some of their friends, who canít help but shed light on some of the family problems. Even Jackís mother, Rosita, gets into the act and in the process leaves Chrissy, well, with a problem or two with Jack.

As time goes by for Chrissy and Jack it seems the more they want to be together and that things always come up to stop them from actually going farther than some hot and heavy action that never leads to the action continuing in the bedroom.

Unscrewed is an appropriate title for the story. Chrissy isnít sure if she has a relationship with Jack other than just being a friend and sometimes that is even iffy. We get to learn more about Jack and what makes him tick just a little more and why he is the way he is. We get to learn more about Laney and Solberg along the way, and just what the future might hold for them.

The adventure takes Chrissy and Jack along for a ride and will keep you turning the pages to see just what will happen between them and what the fall-out will be with Chrissy snooping to find out if Jack is the murderer or not. A few more characters are added to the mix and Iím waiting to see how they will play out in the future stories with Chrissy and Jack and what both of their families play a role in it all.
