Samantha “Sam” Hammett and her brother, Bogie, operated Paranormal Pest Pursuers. They do their job well but lately someone had been sabotaging their efforts. She suspected rival company, Monsters R Us. Sam decided to fight fire with fire.
Nicolas Petroff was ready to feed Sam to the monsters he hunted after she botched a job for him and his brothers. An idea for payback formed when Sam got the job to rid Vampire Prince Varinski of three resident ghosts. As the prince’s cousin, Nic would have no problem impersonating him. But vengeance proved bittersweet after Nic discovered the interferences had been caused by none other than his own brother. Too late Nic found himself attracted to Sam. Had he ruined any chance of a future with the fiesty ghostbuster?
Samantha thought she disliked the man responsible for his company’s tricks, but it was nothing compared to what she felt after Prince “V” turned out to be Nicolas Strakhov. Revenge must wait, however, because there was a murderer on the loose and it was going to take both Sam and Nic to find the monster to blame.
There’s a thin line between love and hate. Would Sam be able to cross that line to live a happily-ever-after with Nicolas?
Bustin’ is Minda Webber’s new paranormal romance. The humor readers have come to expect in a Webber book is present but this time it seemed contrived. An over usage of puns and all things Bogart dimmed the reading experience for me. Bustin’ is not Webber’s best but for a light read this one will do fine.
