MacKenzie Hawk was a man alone, and liked it that way. Having buried the last person that meant anything to him under the new fallen snow, he didn`t want anyone around.

But Sara Beaudry needed his help. He was the man that her brother had told her to go to if in trouble, and something stalked the beauty... an unnamed danger.

Once Sara finds Hawk, she`s almost frozen solid. She whispers to him that he`s her angel. Right then and there is the downfall of Hawk`s guard and he takes Sara into his home, and reluctantly, into his heart. But he`s put off once he finds out that the agency that had turned their back on him had sent her.

The danger that is hunting Sara is not the only problem that the couple faces. There is the difference in their worlds, how one can`t exist in the city, and how the other is out of her element on the mountain top. Love is something that had always been natural for Sara, while Hawk saw it as a way to be hurt, a weakness.

This story had me in tears more than once. Sharon Sala has wowed me with her ability to weave a wonderful story. The pure love and heart-wrenching need that they felt for each other is something that is going to stay with me for a long, long time. This book is wonderful, to say the least. The only problem was, it was too short! Be sure to pick it up if you see it.
