After reading the latest fun story by Lori Foster, I was inspired to rummage through my bookshelves for some of her earlier books. When my hand fell on Tantalizing, I knew I had to share the pleasure of this story.
In typical Foster fashion, our hero and heroine are, on the surface, a terrible mis-match. Josie Jackson is a hard-working, sober-sided, quiet woman, who feels she is a mouse in a world of prowling panthers. Nick Harris is one of the panthers! Tall, handsome and oh-so-sexy, Nick has no idea what heís getting into when he covers for his partner, Bob, who has a blind date with some woman named Josie.
Josieís over protective sister, Susan, sets Josie up with Bob, and Josie, in a fit of temper, lets her red hair down, shortens her skirts, and gets high and spiky heels. When Nick sees her, heís lost! Josie is astounded at the effect this man has on her body and her soul, and Nick is caught in a tangled web of half-truths and lies, only to find out that this woman can touch his body like no other and his heart like he never imagined!
Lori Foster is an absolute maestro of the sensual seduction, and here she proudly shows off her skills. Nick is hotter than hot in bed, and he plays to Josieís innocence and curiosity with a tenderness and straightforward sexuality that makes us sigh and yearn for our very own Nick.
The supporting characters are perfect in their roles, especially the hapless Bob whose pursuit of Susan would be quite funny if it wasnít overshadowed by the blazing passion erupting between Nick and Josie. This is a short book, and can be finished in a couple of hours, but the warmth of their love will stay with you long after youíre done, and once again youíll feel that magic that Lori Foster creates so brilliantly. You may have to check a used bookstore to find Tantalizing, (I did), but itís worth the hunt! Enjoy.
