Cassie Gambol nearly died at the hands of her ex-husband. She had to give up a career as a vascular surgeon because of her extensive injuries. She fled her life in Los Angeles and her life as Carly Sunderland. When the justice system failed to hold her ex, Cassie heads off to the small town of Petal, Georgia to live again. She is barely past the city-limits when a fender bender gains her an introduction to the pride of Petal, the Chase brothers.

Shane Chase canít stop staring at the incredibly beautiful newcomer but he can tell by the skittish way she reacts to his familyís well-meaning help that she has something to hide. Finding out what it is drives him closer to Cassie where they discover a deep abiding love that is matched by the startlingly passionate desire that sparks between them.

But Cassieís ex-husband is not about to let her live when she has destroyed his life.

Taking Chase is an endearing story about what faith, a strong will and a patient soul can survive. I love this book for the hope it inspires and that it does not shy away from what needs to be said. I canít wait until the print release of this book. It will definitely go on my keeper shelf.
