After Thorn Ferrell was forever changed into a werewolf by the experimentations of a rogue sorcerer, after which she was drafted into the American Secret Service as a courier. When Thorne heads off on her last mission, which she has been looking forward to so that she can retreat from all who would wish to continue using her, and encounters the intriguing vampire Yaroslav. After a night of intense passion Yaroslav claims Thorn as his own, an ownership that Thorn is going to fight tooth and nail to maintain her independence. But when a mysterious plague starts ravaging Russia, turning the dead into the walking dead, Thorn will have to join forces with Yaroslav and his people if they are to put a stop to it before it spreads to America.

Kiss of the Wolf is a wonderful tale of a woman’s struggle to obtain and keep her independence and of finding love when she least expected it. Thorn is a great character whose human half is so intertwined with that of her wolf half and whose oneness makes for a guileless being that I completely enjoyed. Yaroslav's alpha maleness and determination to claim Thorn for his own is titillating and enough to leave any girl breathless. Morgan Hawke is a fantastic writer who has a great ability to create appealing characters as well as create a tale that will captivate. I look forward to reading more of Morgan Hawke’s work.
