3. THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART. (Fifth Avenue, between 80th-84th Streets; main entrance at 82nd Street). This is where Kitty meets Match #4, Glen Pinsky, for the Caravaggio exhibit. The "Met" is the grande dame of New York City museums. My grandmother used to take me here all the time when I was a little girl and we would have lunch in the restaurant where Kitty and Glen get to know one another better. I used to take frequent school trips here as well. I have distinct memories of sneaking candy (Halloween candy corn) into the museum during a ninth grade class trip and feeding them to a boy I had a crush on. He used to wear leather pants. What can I say?

If you are visiting New York, the Metropolitan Museum should be one of your top destinations. From antiquities to Americana, costumes, decorative arts, paintings of the great masters from Caravaggio through Cezanne…or even if you just enjoy people-watching, this museum is one of the most stunning jewels in New York's cultural crown.
