In my acknowledgments at the front of the book, I thank all the men I've ever known and New York City for providing me with endless sources of inspiration for my writing. I'm starting our tour at the MISS MATCH-themed point furthest north on a map of New York City. For anyone who remembers the song from the musical On The Town, "the Bronx is up and the Battery's down…" There are a couple of scenes that take place in the Bronx, so I think I will start there.
I don't want to give away too much about the book for those of you who haven't read it. When it comes to events deep into the storyline, I'll have to be cryptic so as not to spoil the plot for some of my readers and fellow cyber-travelers.
Okay, folks, buckle up. It's the law in New York City.
Click on the number on map, and a window will open to describe that area.
Greetings and welcome to my virtual tour of New York City, my hometown and the location where my debut novel, the romantic comedy MISS MATCH is set. I'm Leslie Carroll, author and redheaded tour guide.
Some of MISS MATCH is heavily fictionalized autobiography and the rest is entirely fiction. To cross the line and tell you which is which would ruin the fun. You fantastic readers should just sit back and enjoy the ride.
