Sandi did note the advantage to giving her mother said Harlequins; seems Sandi's mom will send them off to her when she's finished! Not only a lovely, gift but it has a dual purpose. A general consensus round these parts is the wildly popular Nora Roberts. Our reviewers Roni and Paula adore Nora's books; eat them up like candy in fact. Nora Roberts is also known as JD Robb, who writes an ongoing series about a hardcore police detective, Eve Dallas. In this futuristic setting Eve solves case after case, while she plays hard and fast with her romantic interest, Roarke. Playing hard and fast might be just what mom needs to woo her away from planning that next family picnic!

JaToya, our Publishing Liaison who really knows her books, says her mom would enjoy anthologies. A compilation of stories that she can get a quick romance fix from, enabling her to lead her busy life then pick up the book where she left off and move onto a new adventure. If mom's life is filled with trips to the grocery store and the soccer field, then an anthology is a guaranteed hit!

This reviewer knows her mom well, and my mother (being the wacky free spirited soul she is) would love anything by Sandra Hill. Sandra whisks you off to places you can't go if you don't read about them. Ms. Hill's side-splitting humor is perfect for the mom who likes her romance less traditional, and filled with zany antics!

Pam loves anything by Kathie DeNosky, Lucy loves Candace Camp and Mary says medical romances make her mom smile. So many choices, so little space left on your TBR shelf… for mom's castaways that is!

Our Features Editor despaired of getting her mom to read anything, since she was always out digging in the garden and growing her roses. But recently, she picked up a Danielle Steel book, which makes Celia consider a Rosamund Pilcher novel as a good mother's day gift. Perhaps "The Carousel", because it is set near mom's childhood home. Gentle romances with a happy ending are just the ticket for this mom.
